Status
Regarded as a subspecies of C. archetypus. According to Renata Gomes (thesis 2004) a synonym of C. archetypus.
Type Locality
West Indies; restricted to Grenadines, Lesser Antilles by Coomans, Moolenbeek & Wils (1982).

Description
Smooth, variable in color from orange to black. Pattern variable, but with a less distinct central band - C. bertarollae for example, almost always has a very distinct central white band, while this is seldom the case for beddomei.
