Description

Shell moderately small and solid, the last whorl ventricosely conical to broadly ovate, shoulder rounded. Outline convex at adapical third, almost straight below. Spire low to moderately high, convex, slightly sigmoid near apex. Sutural ramps slightly convex with fine spiral striae. Last whorl smooth but not glossy, with some weak spiral ribs near base. Ground colour of shell white, with two broad light brown spiral bands, leaving a white band of varying width below the center and a white base. The brown areas often show irregular darker brown spiral lines. Spire usually white, with brown lines along the suture, occasionally with irregular brown flecks. Aperture white.

Radula: narrow elongate tooth, of vermivorous type. The apical portion is larger than half the length of the radular tooth; the serration is narrow, with a single row of about 33 teeth, present in its upper part.
