Description

A smallish, thin bodied cone, strongly pyriform in shape, with strong spiral sculpture, beaded above. The spire is medium, concave, the shoulders are finely beadedon every whorl, excepting the two smooth nuclear whorls. The concave channels on the spire have very fine growth striae, and one fine spiral line. The body whorl is broad shouldered, becoming quite concave on the lower half, when it tapers down to a fine point at the base. The outer lip is thin, and crenulated. Sculpture consists of many strong spiral cords, the top 3 0r 4 weakly nodulose, with very fine vertical striae between.. the colour of the spire and upper portion is light brown, gradually fading on the lower half, till the base is quite white.
