Status

An extremely confused taxa. Seems to be a synonym of C. grangeri Sowerby III 1900, a species only found in the Red Sea and off eastern Sri Lanka. See for more comments from Moolenbeek, Zandbergen & Bouchet 2008 there! Purported specimens from the Philippines are usually C. rolani Röckel 1986, and sometimes C. sulcatus Hwass 1792.
