The shell is small to moderately small, light to moderately solid, the last whorl broadly ovate, the shoulder subangulated to angulated. Outline convex at adapical third, nearly straight below. Spire moderately high, with a straight to slightly sigmoid profile. Sutural ramps flat to concave, with fine spiral striae. Last whorl smooth and dull, with about 10 spiral cords at base. Ground color of the shell is bluish-white, with spiral rows of alternating brown and white dots and dashes at shoulder and base coalescing to brown flecks, leaving short white streaks. Aperture light to dark brown, with a light central band.
Radula: medium-sized, narrow tooth of vermivorous type, the apical portion equal to half the total length of the tooth. Narrow serration, with small denticles in one or two rows, absent in lower portion.
At rocks in 8–12 mtrs.
C. bocagei is separated from most other endemic cone species by ita angulated to subangulated (instead of rounded) shoulder and bluish ground color.
