Boavista Island, Cape Vede
35 mm
A thick shell, medium-sized, with a slightly pyriform profile, broad and angular shoulder, low spire, the sutural ramps with 2 or 3 spiral striae. The body whorl is ivory white, with a superimposed pattern of brown, usually thin, wavy lines. The anterior third of the shell is brown and there is usually a light band immediately above that brown area. The coloration of the spire matches that of the body whorl. Aperture white.
Radula: very broad radular tooth, the apical portion about half the total length of the tooth. Serration with very numerous small denticles in many rows.
Shallow water.
C. borgesi can be separated from C. cuneolus by its profile and spire sculpture and by the color of the aperture.
