Description

Profile conical, spire low with straight outline, shoulder subangulate, body whorl straight on right side of apertural view, slightly sigmoid at left side. Protoconch not analysable due to erosion, teleoconch of 7 straight whorls, sometime moderately turretted on last whorls, suture well impressed; subsutural ramp sculptured by thick, feeble spiral grooves and thick, stronger radial growth striae. Aperture uniformly narrow, moderately expanded at the anterior sinus, body whorl surface covered by spiral, sligthly wavy scattered striae with secondary cordlets in the interspaces and thick axial growth striae, 9-11 spiral cords on the basal area and siphonal fasciole.

Background colour deep orange with a wide, light grey/withish spiral band in the central area, irregularly bordered by brown flammulae/blotches, 2 similar, but feebler bands under the shoulder and at the base. Spiral lines of brownish dots concentrated on the central band and oddly on the remainder of body whorl walls. Apex and first teleoconch ramp whitish, following ones with articulate pattern of white and orange or brown blotches, radial, thin, opisthocyrt, orange or brown lines on last three teleoconch whorls. Inside of outer lip light orange, inside of aperture lilac-violet with lighter spiral bands corresponding to external ones.
